Kumeu Crimson® Braeburn

Kumeu CrimsonŽ (coo-me-you) is a full red, beautifully striped Braeburn
selection from New Zealand. The fruit colors to virtually 100% red with
a pronounced stripe.
Kumeu CrimsonŽ is receiving rave reviews from both growers on the East
and West coasts and nurserymen. It's outstanding color and striping are
putting distance between this variety and its competition.
Kumeu CrimsonŽ starts coloring 14 to 21 days ahead of other Braeburn
selections. This variety has the typical tart Braeburn flavor with
white flesh.
Kumeu CrimsonŽ shows less than typical vigor (as other Breaburns) - so
either use a more vigorous rootstock than normal for a given spacing,
or close the spacing slightly.
